COACHING STAFF FOR THE REVELSTOKE GRIZZLIES

Brad Fox - Head Coach and General Manager

Brad Fox joins the Revelstoke Grizzlies Organization for the 2006/07 season with 23 years of hockey experience behind him.

After playing in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (A.J.H.L.) from 1980 to 1983, he became an assistant coach with the Hobbema Hawks.

Brad worked his way up to the Western Hockey Leagues Lethbridge Hurricanes as an assistant again before gaining the Head Coach and General Managers experience in the junior leagues throughout Alberta and British Columbia.

For the past three years, Brad has built a solid program with Golden of the Kootney International Junior Hockey League.

His experience in various capacities include 6 years of scouting in the A.J.H.L.

In his lengthy time in the game he has been a head instructor at various hockey schools and hockey camps throughout western Canada. His association with Hockey Canada has given him the opportunity to attain his Advanced 1 and Theory 3 credentials.

In 2001 he created and began his own puck skills development program I-Can Hockey. His dedication to player development and personal growth is his main focus.

Brad is excited by the opportunity to join the strong tradition of the Grizzlies organization. He looks forward to the challenges and success the future holds.

Rob Boyd - Assistant Coach

Rob Boyd brings more than 15 years of coaching experience at the Bantam AA, Midget AA, Midget AAA and Junior B levels.

Robs Accomplishments Include:

• Two KIJHL Division Championships in 1993/94 and 2000/01

• The KIJHL League Championship with the North Okanagan Kings in 1993/94

• Three KIJHL Coach of the Year Awards in 1993/94, 1996/97 and 2003/04

Rob has also worked extensively at hockey schools in the Okanagan as well as the eastern United States including 5 years as Head Instructor of IceTracs Summer Hockey School in Somerset, Johnstown and Kittanning, Pennsylvania.

Rob holds an Advanced Level 1 certification with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and is a certified CFSA Power Skating Instructor.

Travis Rebman - Assistant Coach

Darren Komonoski - Goaltender Coach

Darren Komonoski is the Grizzlies Goaltending Coach and has worked in a coaching capacity with numerous minor hockey organizations and hockey schools during his stay in southern Sask.

He played for the Humboldt Broncos in the SJHL during 1981-82 season and also for the Swift Current Broncos in the same league during 1982 and 1983.

Darren played senior hockey with the Assiniboia Southern Rebels and won the Provincial A championship while playing for that team.

He has also played with the Moose Jaw Generals in the Allan cup finals, in the AAA senior league.

Darren continues to reside in Revelstoke with his wife Sam and their daughter Quinn.

Darren is employed as operations manger of Public Works for the city of Revelstoke.

Rob Miskiman - Equipment Manager

Kellie Christy - Trainer

Kellie Christy has been the trainer for the Revelstoke Grizzlies for the past seven seasons.

She has been a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Revelstoke community for the past 30 years and a Paramedic with the B.C.Ambulance Service for the past 15 years.

Kellie has been married to her husband Gary for 28 years. Their children live and work in Revelstoke.

Kellie has also been a longtime member of the Girl Guides of Canada and is going into her 28th year.

Kellie, who loves the game of hockey, is looking forward to a fun and productive season and says that in the past it has been a lot of fun (a learning experience for all of us), and that a lot of great friendships have been developed.
