The last regular game of the season was played in Enderby, Sunday February 2nd and a gamble by
the North Okanagan Kings became an opportunity for the Grizzlies.
The Grizzlies were one point up on the Kings in the standings, the game was tied 4-4 and in
overtime.
Grizzlies Coach Kevin
Cheveldave said, "We wanted to win it in overtime, being one point up on Enderby. A tie did
them no good being a point behind. I knew the Kings would be forced to pull their goalie."
The Kings were pressing in the Revelstoke zone but when the puck came loose and was cleared
into the neutral zone, the Grizzlies Damian Fraser jumped on it and found the empty net with
31 seconds left in overtime earning the Grizzlies a 5 - 4 overtime victory and securing fourth
place for a playoff berth.
