*The Grizzlies were unable to make their scheduled league game to Princeton on Sunday, November 20th, 2005 on account of their bus breakdown. Therefore the League awarded Princeton 2 points and adjusted the standings to reflect a 1-0 Grizzlies loss.

THE LEAGUE:
Teams could fill out to a 23 man roster but were restricted to a maximum of four 20 year olds. The Golden franchise made a name change, dropping 'Jr Rockets' to become known as the Golden Xtreme. The regular season remained a 50 game schedule. The League went high-tech by introducing a new web site identical to the BCHL featuring complete team and player stats along with game sheet box scores following every KIJHL game. The Grizzlies inter-divisional travel reversed from last season. This year the Grizzlies traveled to the Neil Murdoch teams (winning 2 & losing 3) while the Eddie Mountain teams visited the Forum; the Grizzlies winning 4 and losing 1 (3-2 to Fernie).

THE SEASON - A 'scroll' through the Grizzlies 2005/06 season:

Steve Miller returned as Head Coach along with a new 3-year contract, - Bill Kapak back as Associate Coach, - Wally Thacker came aboard as Assistant Coach, - Kellie Christy is elected as Club President and returned as the Grizzlies Medical Trainer, (- Rob Boyd sat as GM from June until the end of October), - Rocky Mix, Grizzlies play-by-play game announcer received a promotion. Rocky was awarded a media and marketing position and moved up to become the new voice of the BCHL's Williams Lake TimberWolves, - Mike Walintschek stepped into Rocky's vacancy as Internet Play-by-Play broadcaster but only until Dec. 31 when he moved to Calgary to attend school, - 3 year veterans, captain Dustin Jack and goaltender Matt Kirkpatrick moved to Alberta to attend college and they both made the ACAC NAIT Ooks.
