Jordan Barry - Upfront And Personal

Derek was born in beautiful Vernon BC, where he also began his hockey career.

Prior to making his move to the Revelstoke Grizzlies as a new player in 2006 Derek played for the Vernon Vipers.

One of Derek's most treasured career highlights was advancing to the league finals in 05-06 after which he was named the Most Valuable Player for 05-06 season.

Derek would like to attend either college or university where he plans to study firefighting.

Derek's parents are Brigitte and Raymond and he has one sister Michelle. His family still lives in the Vernon area in a wonderful community called Coldstream.

When asked what hobbies and activities he enjoys Derek replied that he enjoys working out, fishing, golfing, and going for long walks on the beach.
