Grizzlies now selling CTC tickets

The City of Revelstoke, the Grizzlies organization and its fans are “totally excited to be able to host the province” during the Cyclone Taylor Cup April 13-16, 2023.

Not only can people enjoy watching the champions of the KIJHL, VIJHL and PJHL and the Host Grizzlies, they can ski as Revelstoke Mountain Resort will close for the season after the Cyclone Taylor Cup. Kevin Dorrius, chair of the Grizzlies host committee, says there will be lots going on and promises it will be an “amazing event.”

“Not only do we have a great atmosphere inside our rink, we are also going to have an outdoor viewing event with tents and barbecue and beer gardens,” says Dorrius. “We really want to have that atmosphere spread amongst as many members of our community as possible.”

Knowing they won’t be able to meet the demand for everybody who wants to be in the arena, the organizing committee is trying to create that atmosphere outside as well.

“There is going to be an amazing opportunity for fan experience,” he said, adding there will be a DJ. “The whole town is getting really excited about the event.”

Dorrius says they expect nearly every game to be sold out and tickets started to be sold on the weekend with the initial run available to season ticket holders. On Tuesday, March 7, tickets go on sale to the general public with a pop up ticket outlet set up at the Revelstoke Review office Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dorrius said they can also take email requests (kdorrius@telus.net) for tickets and process payments for out of town people. They are holding back ticket allotments for each of the teams coming from the three leagues, as well as for family and friends.

Dorrius says once they know who all the teams are competing in the Cyclone Taylor Cup, tickets will be made available to them.
