KIJHL Power Rankings Week 20 – (Feb. 5)

 

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its 20th week of regular season action for the 2022-23 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide final positions.

Princeton Posse
Last Week: 1
Record: 30-6-3-3

The Posse split their games last week, starting with a 7-2 win over the Summerland Steam. On Saturday, they lost to the Grand Forks Border Bruins 7-3. Dayton Nelson led with four points in two games, all goals. He recorded a hat-trick against the Steam.

Revelstoke Grizzlies

Record: 28-6-3-4

The Grizzlies played the Kamloops Storm for a home and home set and earned a split. The Grizzlies lost at home to the Storm 3-2, then defeated the Storm by the same score in overtime on the road. Brandon Gallo led the Grizzlies with three points.

Columbia Valley Rockies

Record: 30-9-1-2

The Rockies lost two of their three games last week. Their week began with an 8-6 loss on the road to Golden. On Saturday they rebounded to double up the Beaver Valley Nitehawks 4-2, then lost on the road to Fernie 6-4. Kayde Kinaschuk led the Rockies with six goals and nine points in three games.

Kimberley Dynamiters

Record: 26-10-2-4

The Dynamiters opened their week with a 4-3 shootout loss to the Creston Valley Thunder Cats. The Dynamiters then lost to the Golden Rockets 3-2 on Sunday. Cash Regan led the Dynamiters with four points in two games, including three goals.

Osoyoos Coyotes

Record: 26-11-3-1

The Coyotes won two of their three games last week. They opened with a 4-2 loss at home to the Summerland Steam. They hit the road for a pair of games, defeating Chase 5-2 and the 100 Mile House Wranglers 7-2. Coletyn Boyarski led with four goals and eight points
