(KIMBERLEY) – The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its sixth week of regular season action for the 2024-25 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlight the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide positioning.
The Princeton Posse don’t appear ready to let go of their No.1 ranking. The Posse defeated the Kelowna Chiefs 6-2, then earned a 7-2 road win over the Sicamous Eagles. The Posse are currently on a four-game winning streak and are 11-1-0-1 on the season.
The Kimberley Dynamiters stay at No. 2 after earning a 5-3 win over the Williams Lake Mustangs, then losing 4-3 in overtime to the Creston Valley Thunder Cats. The Dynamiters had been on a seven-game win streak, and are now 10-2-1 on the season.
The Beaver Valley Nitehawks don’t budge from No.3. They had road wins over the Kamloops Storm, 4-3; and the Chase Heat 3-0, with Connor Stojan enjoying a 48-save shutout. The Nitehawks are currently on a four-game winning streak and are 9-2-1 on the season.
The Revelstoke Grizzlies jump a spot to No. 4. They won their lone game during the week, 5-3 against the 100 Mile House Wranglers. The Grizzlies have won their last three games and are now 7-2-0-2 on the season.
The Grand Forks Border Bruins return to the top-five with a 3-1 win over the Castlegar Rebels and a 6-3 win over the Nelson Leafs. The Border Bruins have now won their last three games. Jasper Tait won his debut in goal against the Rebels.
