KIJHL Power Rankings – Week 6 (Nov. 1)


The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League completed its sixth week of regular season action for the 2022-23 season. The KIJHL Power Rankings highlights the top-five teams based on winning percentage, with various tie-breakers to help decide after.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies collected three of four points last week to maintain their top spot in the rankings. After losing in overtime to the Chase Heat, the Grizzlies defeated the Kelowna Chiefs.
The Princeton Posse remain in the second spot after they won two of their three games last week. The Posse earned wins over North Okanagan and Kimberley and Ethan Rau made 35 saves for his first KIJHL shutout.
The Columbia Valley Rockies picked up a pair of wins last week to return to the top-five. The Rockies defeated Creston Valley and 100 Mile House.
The Nelson Leafs return to the top-five thanks to a pair of wins against the Castlegar Rebels. The Leafs outscored their division rivals 10-1.
The Beaver Valley Nitehawks won two of their three games last week. They defeated Castlegar and won the first game of back-to-back matches against Grand Forks. They lost the second match in a shootout to the Border Bruins.
