Chamberland commits to BCIHL’s Lakers

Owen Chamberland of the Revelstoke Grizzlies has committed to play for the Okanagan Lakers in the B.C. Intercollegiate Hockey League for the 2023-24 season.

Chamberland had 14 points in 38 games last season and helped the Grizzlies win the Cyclone Taylor Cup championship. Chamberland, 21, spent three seasons in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League, playing 78 career regular season games and registering 25 points. He had eight points in 25 KIJHL Teck Cup playoff games.

Grizzlies Head Coach-GM Ryan Parent said Chamberland developed into a solid player during his time with the Grizzlies.

“I know the Okanagan Lakers are receiving a team-first man,” said Parent.
