Revelstoke Grizzlies 2008/09 Training Camp Information

- Upon registration you will be assigned a team and jersey for the weekend.

- There will be a weigh in and at this time please inform our trainer of any medical issues you might have.

- There will be a off ice fitness test on Friday Aug. 29th and you will need to bring the proper clothing for this.

- Each player will recieve 7.5 hrs. of ice time thru out the weekend.

- There will be 1 goaltenders session included in camp.

- Each team will get 3 games and 1 practice session along with a defense men session and a forwards skills session throughout the weekend.

- All sessions are 1hr. 15mins. in length.

- At the conclusion of your Saturday morning session 1 on 1 player coaches meetings will take place followed by our prosects game at 5:00pm.

- The top 40 players will be playing in our prospects game.

- At the conclusion of our prosects game our roster will be set at 30 players going into our exhibition season beginning Sept 3rd.

- At the conclussion of training camp the remaining players will be assigned a billet home.

- Any players attending school please have with you, school transcripts or report card, birth certificate, and care card.

- If you have completed school you will need work clothes as you will be holding a part time job.

- You will need to have your dress clothes ( shirt, tie, and shoes etc...).

- Bring your personal belongings that you feel you will need. You may not get home for awhile.

- YOU ARE REMINDED THAT YOU REPRESENT OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS OUR HOCKEY CLUB. HOW YOU CARRY YOURSELF IN OUR COMMUNITY WILL BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR ABILITIES AS A PLAYER.

Additions to the 94/95 History Section

Ken Stephanishin, the Grizzlies statistician has compiled some more additions to our history section for the 1994-95 season. The new additions also include an Editorial cartoon by Jerrold Connors of the TIMES REVIEW that was originally published during that season.

Brad Fox has written a Coaches Corner article reflecting on the loss of a longtime friend and former team-mate. His insight offers a personal touch on sports and the importance of friendships formed with team-mates.

In the article Coach Fox states, in part, "It has often been said that it's not the games and practices you miss the most with your team-mates but it's that 30 min in the dressing room before and after each game or practice where a lot of great laughter was shared. This is what you'll never forget."
