Extracurricular activities play a significant role in school life around RSS and there is a wide range of clubs, activities, and both league and intramural sports teams.

Our player’s attendance and marks are monitored closely by the coaching staff in conjunction with the staff at RSS. Surrounded by spectacular mountain scenery, a world of fresh air, and small town friendliness, Okanagan College – Revelstoke Centre offers a dynamic and exciting learning environment for adults of all ages. Practices & Off Ice Program
Practices are held five days a week, depending on the team schedule. In addition to regular practice, seperate position specific, skills sessions are held each day over the noon hour. An extensive amount of ice time is essential to a player’s development. This Grizzlies also have an intense periodized off ice strength and conditioning program through the Trans Canada Fitness Centre and Revelstoke Secondary School’s new conditioning facility to help develop players physically during the hockey season. Off ice discipline is of the utmost importance to the Revelstoke Grizzlies. Players are expected to carry themselves in a professional manner and follow all team guidelines, curfews, etc at all times.

Billeting
All out of town players are billeted with local families who have been billeting for a number of years. Players are placed in carefully selected homes with families who have a great interest in the players both on and off the ice. Room and Board will continue beyond the hockey season if needed to allow for completion of high school or university exams. We are very thankful for our billet homes!

Equipment
The Revelstoke Grizzlies provide all outer equipment. For example: concussion helmet, pants, gloves, and visors (we also provide replacement visors). In addition the team will provide sock tape, black tape, white tape, laces and all players will receive a team tracksuit and gym clothing. Additional apparel is provided throughout the season: Travel Bags, Suit Bags, Shaving Kits, Hoodys, Hats, Cell Phone Covers.

All Revelstoke Grizzlies players receive a free membership for the season at Trans Canada Fitness. It is a 3 level gym which has all the amenities you could ever need. Daily team workouts involve our strength and conditioning coach who holds a degree in Kinesiology.
