Grizzlies’ Kuchaslo inks with ACHA Drury University

Revelstoke Grizzlies goalie Jozef Kuchaslo has committed to the Drury University Panthers in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 1 for the 2024-25 season.

In 28 games, Kuchaslo went 19-8-0 with a 1.96 goals against average and a .932 save percentage with six shutouts. He was the KIJHL’s Top Goalie last season and was once again named the Doug Birks Division Top Goalie this season.

“I’m super excited to head to Drury next year. It’s a new program and I’m excited to grow and develop with the program and school,” says Kuchaslo. “Drury offered me a unique opportunity and I’m extremely grateful and excited to get to work.”

Over his three seasons with the Grizzlies, the Mission native focused on getting better each day in different areas. This season he improved his strength and speed and accomplished that from the coaching staff pushing him each day.

“Since Joe came three years ago, he has emerged from good to a great goalie. Never failing to get the job done and his desire to win games spread through the locker room,” says Grizzlies GM Ryan Parent. “Two Top Goalie awards in a row speak for themselves. During his time in Revelstoke, he grew up to be a young man and it was our pleasure to have and coach him. As a whole organization we wish him all the best in his next endeavours.”
