Brady Schwab (Revelstoke Grizzlies), Kesler Fyfe (Revelstoke Grizzlies) and Jozef Kuchaslo (Revelstoke Grizzlies) have been selected the Hudl Instat Kootenay International Junior Hockey League 3 Stars of the Week for the period ending April 7/24.
Schwab – Top Forward – The Snohomish, Wash., product helped the Grizzlies take a 2-0 lead in the KIJHL Teck Cup Final against the Fernie Ghostriders with two goals and an assist. Schwab scored the winner in Game 1, a 5-2 final. In Game 2, he scored the first goal, then assisted on the winner in a 4-2 win. He has a plus-2 rating in both games combined. Schwab is fifth on the team with 12 points in 18 games.
Fyfe – Top Defenceman – The Lethbridge, Alta. product had a goal in two games to help the Grizzlies take 2-0 lead in the KIJHL Teck Cup Final against the Fernie Ghostriders. In Game 1 of the series, Fyfe scored the first goal and had three shots over the two games. He had a plus-4 rating in the two games combined. Fyfe has five points in 18 playoff games.
Kuchaslo – Top Goalie – The Mission product won both his games to help the Grizzlies take 2-0 lead in the KIJHL Teck Cup Final against the Fernie Ghostriders. Kuchaslo stopped 74 of 78 shots combined for a 2.00 goals against average and a .949 save percentage. In 17 playoff games, Kuchaslo has 14 wins and three overtime losses to go with a 2.14 GAA and a .935 SP. Kuchaslo was recently named the KIJHL’s Top Goalie for the second straight season.
